About Us
Marion Izmirlian received her bachelors of music degree from Northwestern on a full scholarship. She taught music in the public schools and privately for seven years. She worked as an office manager and medical receptionist for her husband, a family physician, for twelve years. During this period, Marion held numerous positions as President of the St. Louis County Medical Auxiliary and President of Mu Phi Epsilon. She decided to utilize her experience and fund of knowledge in the recruitment industry. Marion worked for another physician recruitment firm for two years and was the trainer and high producer in the medical department. However she felt there were ideological differences between management and her philosophy. She left the company and joined Karen in the establishment of Trouveer Associates, Inc., in 1983 as President of the firm.
Karen Izmirlian graduated cum laude from Drake University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She then received her MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. During the summer, Karen worked as an assistant physician recruiter for a placement firm in St. Louis, as well as working part time during high school as a medical receptionist. Karen then was employed for one year with a family physician as the office manager, and then accepted a position in retail sales for six months. In 1983, Karen and Marion joined forces in the establishment of Trouveer Associates.
